Use the contents of the vial within 90 days from first broaching. Discard the unused portion. Cattle. For single use only, by subcutaneous or intravenous injection. Give meloxicam 0.5 mg/kg bodyweight (2.5 mL/100 kg) in combination with antibiotic therapy as appropriate. Pigs. For single intramuscular injection in the anterior half of the neck (can be repeated once after 24 hours if necessary). Give meloxicam 0.4 mg/kg bodyweight (2.0 mL/100 kg) in combination with antibiotic therapy as appropriate.
Administration to animals suffering from haemorrhagic gastrointestinal disorders, impaired hepatic, cardiac or renal function and haemorrhagic disorders, or when there is evidence of individual hypersensitivity to the product. Concurrent administration with glucocorticosteroids, other NSAIDs, or with anticoagulants is contraindicated, and meloxicam should be used with caution in conjunction with other highly protein bound drugs.
