Troy Ironcyl is a palatable, non-irritant haematinic syrup containing iron (soluble iron salts), copper, cobalt and manganese required for haemoglobin synthesis. Suitable for horses and greyhounds.
Available in a 1L and 5L drums.
Note: Performance horses and dogs may be subject to the rules of various regulatory bodies. Advice should be sought from the relevant regulator with regards to performance withholds.
Aid in the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia in horses and dogs.
Horses. 40 mL/450 kg bodyweight daily in the feed or as directed by a veterinary surgeon. Treatment should continue until anaemia is corrected, usually 14 to 28 days. Further blood analysis may be required to monitor the resolution of the anaemia.
Greyhounds. 1 mL/10 kg bodyweight daily in the feed, or as directed by a veterinary surgeon. Treatment should continue until the anaemia is corrected, usually 14 to 25 days. Further blood analysis may be required to monitor the resolution of the anaemia.
Routine supplementation may be required in horses and greyhounds that sweat heavily or those undergoing hard training in a warm climate, to prevent iron deficiency anaemia from developing.
