ilium Buccalgesic OTM 200mL

Description

Contains 10 mg/mL meloxicam in a ready-to-use blue gel. The gel is dosed into the buccal pouch with the applicator, where the special formulation will absorb quickly into the blood stream.
To be used in calves during routine husbandry procedures such as castration, and also during disbudding (or dehorning). In lambs it may be used during routine husbandry procedures of castration & tail docking (both surgical and rings).

Available in 200 mL bottle with hi-flow draw-off tube included. Dosing guns for cattle or sheep sold separately. The blue colour in the gel allows easy identification of animals dosed.
The best results are obtained when the animals are dosed 10-15 minutes prior to the procedure, however, Buccalgesic is still effective when used at the time of procedure if pre-dosing is not possible.

Buccalgesic can also be used in association with local anaesthesia (such as lignocaine injection or topical anaesthetic sprays).
The product can be used for up to 6 months after first opening.
