Actions
Anti-bacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antipruritic. Gentamicin, an aminoglycoside,
is bactericidal in action. It interferes with the protein synthesis of cell membranes. Nystatin is antifungal in activity, often used topically, used in the treatment of candidiasis. Its mechanism of action is similar to amphotericin B. It is poorly absorbed orally and relatively non-toxic. It has no anti-bacterial activity. Fluocinolone acetonide is an anti-inflammatory agent. Adverse reactions are rare. Not as effective in Gram-positive infections.

Indications
Anti-bacterial, antifungal, anti- inflammatory and antipruritic oily suspension for dogs and cats.

Directions for use
Shake well before use.

Skin: Apply twice daily to the affected area or as directed by a Veterinary Surgeon.
Ear: Remove wax and epithelial debris and instil 2 - 5 drops into ear twice daily or as directed by the Veterinary surgeon.

Presentation
Suspension 20mL.

Composition
Gentamicin as Gentamicin Sulphate 1.6mg/mL, Nystatin 100,000i.u/mL, Fluocinolone acetonide 0.25mg/mL, in a
plastigel base.

Precautions
TOPIGEN contains Gentamicin and should not be used unless sensitivity testing indicates other antibiotics are likely to be ineffective.

Store below 25ºC (air conditioning).
