Actions
Bactericidal in action with broad spectrum activity. The combination attacks bacterial protein synthesis at two points. It works by sequential blockade, which enhances the individual anti-bacterial effects, so the combination becomes bactericidal. TRISOPRIM is highly active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including many strains which are resistant to commonly used antibiotics.
Most ß-lactamase producing bacteria are sensitive to TRISOPRIM. Importantly, the synergism of these two components allows lower doses to be used, which reduces the possibility of side affects while still providing optimum cover. Active against most common Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial pathogens in small animals.
TRISOPRIM is rapidly absorbed and quickly distributed producing high concentrations throughout the animal’s body. Its high tissue levels are effective in bacterial infections of the respiratory, alimentary, the urinary and genital tracts, the eyes and ears.
Indications
For the treatment of systemic and topical bacterial infections in dogs and cats caused by organisms sensitive to trimethoprim and sulphadiazine
Directions for use
1 tablet per 32kg bodyweight twice daily for 5 days.

Tablets 500’s.
Composition
Each tablet contains Sulphadiazine 400mg Trimethoprim 80mg.
Storage
Store below 30ºC (room temperature) in a dry place. Keep tightly closed.
