Actions
Acepromazine is a phenothiazine derivative which has a potent
sedative action.
Indications
Tranquilliser, pre-anaesthetic medication for horses, cattle, sheep and pigs.
Directions for use
0.25 - 0.5mL per 50kg bodyweight i.m. or slow i.v.
Presentation
Injection 20mL.
Composition
Acepromazine (as the maleate) 10mg/mL.
Withholding Period
Cattle, sheep & pigs: meat – 2 days
Cows and ewes:
milk – 2 days
Horses: meat – 28 days
Storage
Store below 25ºC
(air conditioning).
Protect from light.
